Ocelot Atlanta LLC recently announced that a portion of the sales from their book, A Golfer's Tail, will be donated to a no-kill animal shelter.
The animal shelter is run by Furkids Inc., and is the largest cage free no-kill shelter in Georgia.
The organization provides a safe and nurturing environment to rescued animals until they are adopted. They also work with the public on subjects such as pet overpopulation and sterilization.
The book is about a cat named Roscoe Watkins, who follows his quest for golf greatness. He faces some tough competition as he pursues the Quest for the Double Slam.
Ocelot Atlanta LLC will be donating 10 percent of the profits from the book.
"We are delighted to be able, in a small way, to support the good work of Furkids through the sales of 'A Golfer's Tail,'" said John Watkins, President of Ocelot Atlanta LLC.
Mr Watkins and his wife had adopted a cat from the shelter operated by Furkids last year, giving them firsthand knowledge of the great work being done by the organization.
Furkids relies on charitable contributions only, so every donation goes towards the work being done by the organization.
